You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book. (Psalm 56:8; NLT).
God never wastes a hurt. Painful lessons can turn into precious gems. God will never take you through a valley wherein He will not give you something of equal or greater value. When you go through a pain or a hurt, God won’t waste it. The gem will be equal to or even greater than the depth of the valley. When someone slings mud at us, our natural tendency is to sling it back. Don’t do it! If we spontaneously grab a handful of mud and sling it back, we will fail to realize that hidden in the mud is diamonds – lessons and gems intended to change our lives. We will by slinging back lose the gems embedded in that mud.
Our goal cannot be a life free of pain; instead, it must be a life that’s right in God’s eyes. One of the best classrooms in the world for developing character is struggle and hurt,
pain. It provides lessons that brings depth to our lives. Without pain and difficulties we would lack the God-designed program that builds our character muscles. We must be willing to experience struggle for the sake of growth. God is for us! God knows what we can handle, so if He allowed something in our lives, we can be assured that God has already authorized it for our lives, as painful as it may seem. Everything God does in our lives is based upon His character and God’s character is love. His goal is to disciple us and discipleship always include discipline. When we
talk about struggles, we must always define them in light of God’s changeless character and not by our limited experience. Trials are medicines which our gracious and wise Physician prescribes because we need them; and He proportions the frequency and weight of them to what the case requires. Let us trust His skill and thank Him for His prescription.
Byt vas as dinge rof gaan. BYT VAS! God never wastes a hurt. When you go through a pain or a hurt, God won’t waste it.
Be gracious and wise…….follow the example of our wise Physician!
